Stone Carving
Self taught stone carver leaving a mark on this planet; creating beautiful carvings channelling ancient wisdom whilst honouring our ancestors. Timeless carvings, whispers of the past for future generations to find. Stone carving offers me complete peace, rhythmic sound of the hammer strikes as the marks gently appear whilst chipping away. To surrender to the form and beauty of the stone and to flow whilst sculpting freely letting the energy of the stone guide. Exploring one of the earliest art forms and inspired by how permanent and profound carving is to our history of humankind. Incredible to think carvings may still invoke curiosity and mystery in millenniums to come. I use traditional stone carving chisels, with an experimental approach continuously testing limitations and developing my techniques. Preseli Bluestone 'Dolerite' is an extremely hard materiel to carve that requires much patients and sharpening of tools.

Jewellery
Self taught jewellery creator and silversmith, capturing the beauty whilst shaping and framing stones for their next journey and companionship. To connect with a stone and visualise how it will look and what it will represent to the keeper is a meticulous and enjoyable process.
Drawing inspiration from ancestors who have worn jewellery through out human history. Energetically using stones as talismans for good fortune protection or honouring loved ones. I enjoy experimenting with materials including silver copper and brass, creating one off jewellery creations. Setting stones I’ve shaped or tumbled in many styles; sharp geometric facets balancing raw/polished finishes for contrast. We would love to hear any idea’s for custom jewellery creations.
Ceremonial Tools
It’s an honour to create tools used for ceremony invoking connection with ancestors, keeping alive ancient practises and wisdom. Ceremonial tools have been used since the dawn of time. Stone tools become portals to interact with forgotten practises for daily habitual use or healing practises. Beauty lies in the simplicity of these tools from bowls to eat from and arrow heads. Exquisite forms this dedication to craftsmanship highlights the profound connection between the artist and the medium, celebrating both the art of creation and the beauty of the earth beneath our feet.

Monumental Sculpture
Monumental sculpture is profound devotion and commitment to achieve timeless beauty and transformation. Inspired to think monumental sculptures may stand the test of time with forms potentially surviving millenniums, and how forms may change in time. This mysterious journey and affirmation. Will someone cherish a sculpture or carving in thousands of years. Will it be used in healing practises or spark mythology or be forgotten about and return to the earth to be rediscovered once more.
Tumbled Stones
Rock tumbling is a fascinating process that involves much patients; gradual smoothing and polishing of stones through a series of stages. Initially, rough, unpolished rocks are placed in a tumbler with a coarse abrasive girt mixed with water. Over many weeks up to 7 weeks for harder rocks; subjected to slow continuous motion, gradually wearing away rough edges peeling back the layers. Similar to the process of the sea shaping pebbles you would find on the beach. Each stage uses progressively finer grits to achieve a high shine and smooth finish. Vigilant cleaning at each stage is required as even one grain of coarse grit can ruin a tumbled batch in the later stages of polishing. It’s an extremely enjoyable meditative process as the finished result and process of each batch is so unique and exciting as you never know what you’ll produce.

Raw Stone
The most natural form of stone telling a unique geological story, shaped by the processes that formed over millennia.
Raw stone, a natural material sourced directly from the Earth. The rich colours and varied textures of raw stone not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also serve as a testament to the Earth's remarkable beauty and resonate with those who appreciate nature's raw artistry. I enjoy creating a balance of raw and polished as so often the polished transformation is unrecognisable from raw. reveals a harmonious blend of nature's raw beauty
Polishing
Dedicated process of smoothing revealing whats below the surface, peeling back the layers. Stone polishing is simply scratching a stone, if you imagine thousands of tiny scratches created from the same size of grit, eventually creating a surface with enough of the same size scratches, this is repeated many times until a satisfied shine is created. Through the medium of artificial diamonds, transforms them into exquisite forms, enhancing their inherent colours and textures. Stone polishing is an extremely peaceful and satisfying process of transformation. I tend to polish by hand where possible as the process is more rewarding and less noisy.
